Refund Policy
At OpenCart4 Marketplace, we provide a platform where independent developers can publish and sell their OpenCart extensions. While we facilitate transactions and offer a secure environment, each extension is the responsibility of its respective developer. This refund policy is designed to protect customers, developers, and the marketplace by ensuring fair and transparent treatment of all parties.
Important Notice: Due to the digital nature of extensions, all sales are generally considered final. Refunds may be granted only in specific circumstances outlined below and in accordance with both marketplace rules and the developer’s own refund policy.
When Refunds Are Available
Eligible Situations
Refunds may be issued if:
- The extension fails to perform its core functionality as described on its product page
- Critical advertised features do not work as stated
- The extension is not compatible with the specified OpenCart version, despite claims
- The developer is unable to resolve major technical issues within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30 days)
When Refunds Are NOT Available
Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:
- Change of mind or incorrect purchase
- Compatibility issues with unsupported OpenCart versions, server environments, or custom modifications
- Conflicts with third-party themes or extensions
- User error in installation, configuration, or misunderstanding of described functionality
- Requests made after the refund window has expired (30 days unless otherwise specified)
Refund Request Process
- Submit a Request
Send your request to info@opencart4.com with the subject line "Refund Request – [Order Number]". - Provide Details
Include order number, purchase date, extension name, description of the issue, screenshots or error messages (if available), and your OpenCart version. - Developer Review
The respective developer will first attempt to resolve the reported issue. Customers are required to cooperate with troubleshooting steps. - Marketplace Mediation
If the developer cannot resolve the issue and the request meets eligibility criteria, the marketplace will mediate and approve a refund where justified.
Special Conditions
Free Extensions
- Free extensions are provided "as-is" without warranty
- No refunds apply to free downloads
- Support for free extensions is optional and not guaranteed
Discounted Purchases
- Refunds for discounted products are based on the actual price paid
- Promotional purchases are subject to the same rules as regular purchases
Important Notes
- All extensions are digital products delivered immediately after purchase
- Once downloaded, they cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense
- This policy is intended for genuine technical issues, not for testing multiple products
- Abuse of the refund process may result in account suspension
